How to report a bug?

Please note: If there's is a problem with a dictionary entry (e.g. pinyin, definition) or missing entry, please read this instead.
  1. On Hanping's More tab, tap About, then Legal notices.
  2. Tap on the first item (e.g. Hanping Chinese Dictionary) 7 times. You should see a message counting down to Debug enabled
  3. Back on the More tab, tap Settings and, in the Debug section, turn on Write Logs to File
  4. Now reproduce the problem in Hanping
  5. Long-tap More > Settings > Write Logs to File. This should allow you to send the logs to us.

Notes

  • For Hanping Popup: the main screen is the Settings screen
  • If you have found a problem with a dictionary entry (e.g. pinyin error, or inaccurate/incomplete definition) please submit this directly to the editors of that dictionary (rather than reporting to us) because they are better suited to evaluating submissions. See How to report a dictionary error for the relevant links.
  • If you just want to send your device and app version details long-tap More > About > Contact Developer in Hanping: this opens your email app with the appropriate information already attached.
